Knowing Jesus || Man Of Prayer

Hi blog fam. It’s been almost four weeks of digging more into Jesus and if you have missed #OnlineBibleStudy for the past weeks, click here. For today, the one deal about Jesus that was ringing in my heart is “man of prayer”. So let’s dig into this attribute of Jesus and see how it can help us also to become more like Him. “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else–to the nearby villages–so […]

Knowing Jesus || His Faithfulness

One day my sister asked me; “why do you always like to sing this song?” What song? We are saying, faithful are you Lord… Faithful are you Lord… Faithful are you Lord… You are so faithful. Every time we had prayers and I was to lead worship, I would always start with that song. Ah, she just had to ask. Truth is, the personality of God that I hold on to the most is His faithfulness. I have seen God as my Savior. I have experienced Him as my provider. But one thing that keeps me always is when I remember His faithfulness. It gives me hope for the future and hope when I am discouraged. For the past week, […]

The True Test Of Love || God’s Love Language

Obedience “I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me]. If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love.” -John 15:9-10 I skipped this topic last two weeks when it came to me at Port Harcourt. By the way I must apologize for not being faithful with #OnlineBibleStudy on here for the past few weeks, I have the topics in my head but always have valid reasons not to post them. Number one is the Blackberry I used to use that […]

Jesus, I Don’t Love You Enough

Few days back I found myself crying after I read a devotional from Prov31 Ministries. I was crying “Jesus I don’t love you enough, come be my greatest desire”. You see, I have been wrapped by so many needs in this season – valid needs and it seems like every time I sit before the Lord, my heart is crying out to Him, “Lord supply all my needs as you have promised to do”. Over and over He comes through for me, but still something is still scared to free fall into His hands. I apologize over and over again “Lord, I am sorry that I trust you in so little ways.. even after I see all you are doing, […]

How To Deal With Pride

Most people do not know where I am based. I spoke to someone concerning my NGO valentine “Purity walk” yesterday and he said he thought I was in Lagos. I laughed. I have not been in Lagos since November. I was there briefly for TWTW Meet in December and disappeared again. Oh well, I am currently in Delta State (my family is based here) but then again I will be leaving this weekend for Port-harcourt for ‘Prayers for your future husband” book launch and ladies event and it seems like I am to be a nomad for Jesus and that’s okay. From December till now that I have been home, I can be said to be in the “school of […]

The Helper Of Israel (Frances)

The Helper of Israel “Be silent before me, you islands! Let the nations renew their strength! Let them come forward and speak; let us meet together at the place of judgment.  “Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. He pursues them and moves on unscathed, by a path his feet have not traveled before. Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord—with the first of them and with the last—I am he.” -Isaiah 41:1-4 When I read some scriptures, I […]

Where Are Your Souls With Which To Greet Him?

I was reading a book by Robert Liardon titled “I saw Heaven”. It’s an account of his trip to Heaven when he was 8 years old. And I and my sister got talking about Heaven and how it would be such a joy to meet Jesus, see Jesus physically, laugh with Him and just be with our saviour and Lord. And from there we got talking about our crown. My sister said something like “it’s as if we should just go now ba?” And I said “no, my crown won’t be so large right now, my reward won’t be so great now, I can’t die now”.   We both started talking about Luke 15 where Jesus talks about what joy […]

Recounting Testimonies Of God’s Divine Provision

I have a lot of faith journeys to do this year. And the way things are coming up is unreal. Firstly, I had been so beaten down by 2016 my mind was blank about 2017. All I wanted to do was to get back to my vine. But then from TWTW Warri meet God began to speak to my heart. He had things for me to do. And just like God, they are some big and scary things. First the book launch of “prayers for your future husband” doubling as a meet with ladies to hold in Port Harcourt. Then The women at the well first book and meet… all in February 2017.   Yesterday I was getting a bit […]

Love Never Fails

One of the ways to describe my brother after he just gave his life to Christ is “annoying”! Lol. I don’t know, but he mega used to get on my nerves! I would invite him for Wednesday service and he would be dragging his feet. There was even a day I invited him to go to Church after work, I was kind of broke and didn’t have a lot so I stayed home… and I thought I was doing good. Ehen, that was the period I wasn’t fine, I had malaria and was terribly weak. But remembered my brother and told him to go to Church, only for this guy to turn around and start saying stuff that had me […]

The Parable Of The Growing Seed

“Jesus also said, “The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens. The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens. And as soon as the grain is ready, the farmer comes and harvests it with a sickle, for the harvest time has come.” -Mark 4:26-29   Something caught my attention as I read the last post on the Maximizing Your Potential Series. We dealt with “enlargement in the waiting” (You have to read that post to […]

My Case Against Abortion

I don’t think that I have ever shared about the time when I was washed clean of my guilt about the past abortions I committed. I just resumed Law School at Lagos Campus then and decided to attend a meeting for single ladies organized by my Church. The minister suddenly veered off into prayers for ladies who had committed an abortion… and I wept and wept as the full reality of what I did washed over me. Prior to this moment, I carried the guilt around even though I was born again. I just couldn’t find rest and peace in my spirit. But that day I gave it all to God. I totally laid it bare before Him, asking Him […]
