I’ll Praise You

We recently had lessons shared from Hannah on The Women At The Well Blog on how to be a woman of prayer… The lessons were so deep, they inform what I do even as I pray. But then I noticed one part of Hannah’s prayer that we sometimes skip. “Then Eli answered, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him.” And she said, “Let your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.” 1 Samuel 1:17-18 ESV The Bible says her face was no longer sad… her countenance changed as though she already had what she had asked from […]

The Ephesians 5:25 Man

My dear single ladies and gentlemen, I have missed you all like something else. Somehow, I have been missing out on posting Frances’ Love Letters and #OnlineBibleStudy for a while now. Its not my fault per say. Light issues and battery issues.. almost always rear their head up on those two days. Forgive me 🙂 But I am here today and finally we get to talk about something that I should have written about last year but it didn’t quite feel like the right time. But today… lets dig in. The Ephesians 5:25 man. Who is this man? A lot of ladies wonder about what the characteristics  for chosing their man should be based on. I first encountered the Ephesians […]

From My Diary: Oceans

I do not like to sing “Oceans” by Hillsongs anymore. Ever since I found out what I am inadvertently saying by singing that song, I tend to wait, hum and meditate on the words as I listen.. and REALLY be sure before I sing along. Because its singing songs like that to Jesus that has landed me where I am right now. In Ekiti State. Back again. Again. Again. You can tell that I am trying to see the humour in this right? I am. I really am.   But sometimes I am like ‘Lord, what the heck am I doing back in Ekiti State?’ I still feel like a stranger most time. Almost all the time.   I obeyed. […]

Maximizing Your Potential || Run & Stay Faithful

My brother sent me a voice note on Whatsapp. It was from a woman who God has used her moi moi as a tool to make her stand before Nations. And as I listened to it my spirit kept leaping inside me. Oh the gift of a man makes room for him and brings him before great men. The potentials of a man clears the way for him… But the potentials have to be used first. The man has to go to work. “The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more.” -Matthew 25:17 NLT   “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he […]

Memories From The Women At The Well July 2016 Meet!

REBLOGGED FROM THE WOMEN AT THE WELL BLOG.. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— We know that writing in November about a meet that happened in July is a long stretch but we can’t just let the memories go like that. July 31st 2016 was such an amazing day with our TWTW sisters… it was so amazing, it definitely has to be ingrained in sands of the time of our blog to be revisited over and over again.   First, our venue was LIT! We all converged at Lekki Conservation Centre by 12pm which was the set time but African man time had some of us coming late (don’t do this at our subsequent meets though. lol). And as always, it was such a joy […]

Maximizing Your Potential || Write

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” -Revelation 21:5   If you read the above passage in a haste, then you would miss the all important word that makes all the difference in your maximizing the potential that God has put in you. And that is: WRITE!   Now, the one thing that people who are a weary are wary of doing. When life seems to have beaten the fight out of your dreams, the last thing you want to do is dream again… but thankfully God steps in and says “behold I make all things new”, but you have […]

My Case Against Abortion

I don’t think that I have ever shared about the time when I was washed clean of my guilt about the past abortions I committed. I just resumed Law School at Lagos Campus then and decided to attend a meeting for single ladies organized by my Church. The minister suddenly veered off into prayers for ladies who had committed an abortion… and I wept and wept as the full reality of what I did washed over me. Prior to this moment, I carried the guilt around even though I was born again. I just couldn’t find rest and peace in my spirit. But that day I gave it all to God. I totally laid it bare before Him, asking Him […]

Reintroduction To The Person And Character Of Jesus

Hi guys! I hope you have all had an amazing week so far…   For me, I am in a place where I am trying to readjust in a place God led me to that I still haven’t been able to make sense of yet. I shared with my TWTW Sisters  on some of God’s dealings with me in this season. I don’t think that I am quite there yet to be able to share on the blog. My next personal memoirs post will be titled “Oceans’. Again, I feel like I am walking on water.  Sometimes it is cool to just free fall into God’s arms and sometimes, the panic attacks I get can be rivaled with no other. But […]
