Online Bible Study Reader’s Request: Must All Christians Speak In Tongues?

NOTE: This post is scheduled. By the time you read this, I should already be on my way to Jos. Yes! It’s time to sit in at Jesus’s feet without distractions. NCCF(Christian corpers) will be having their national conference at Jos starting today. You guys know how I don’t play with time to soak in the Spirit, even shifted a book launch date for it in the past. So bear with me, I will be off line and there will be no posts on the blog till next week.     So on last week’s #OnlineBibleStudy, where I talked about praying in the Spirit, I got a question from a blog sister, and I sent her a mail with my […]

Lessons From When I Almost Dated An Engaged Man Part 4

My dearest single ladies and gentlemen, Hope your week was filled with great things like mine was? And great things don’t have to be “big things”, the fact that you have a life secured in the palm of God’s hands is a great thing.   Today’s letter might come as a surprise to those who are familiar with the series on Lessons from when I almost dated an engaged man. I know, for months I couldn’t write on it after H’s death and now in one month I am writing two letters based on him 🙂 The grief is basically dim now and I could name this letter something else but it shouldn’t be so because this lesson basically sprung […]

Chronicles of My July 12 Trip Challenge: Deji’s Palace Akure

Hi everyone. Hope you are having a restful holiday like I am? Like I mentioned on yesterday’s post, I will be taking advantage of the holiday to update on my #12TripChallenge but before I go on to spill the gist on my July trip, I believe it’s necessary to just remind us of the reason why I started the #12TripChallenge for all single ladies.   I read a post yesterday on www.takebackyourtemple.com (read the post here) and it was just a reminder as to the reason why I wanted us single lady to take part in the #12TripChallenge for this year (and even beyond). A lady commented on that post about how she was so angry at God at her […]

Chronicles Of My April 12Trip Challenge: My Visit To Idanre Hills

I wrote this post ages ago in the month of April but couldn’t publish it… because network! I’m serious ehn, the worse thing about blogging here in Ekiti is the crazyyy network. I really don’t like it. I have a backlog of posts to publish on my #12TripChallenge and I’m tired of piling them up. But I can’t publish them without the pictures and the pictures take a leg and a half to upload so sometimes I give up. This morning I climbed a hill crossed oceans (more like side stepped goat poop on the hill) just to upload the pictures. And the pictures really aren’t all I wanted to upload (I have a bit of perfectionism in me in […]

Likewise The Spirit Also Helps Our Infirmities…

Romans 8.26-27 “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”   Download the  PDF version of this study here   Today’s study was a bit difficult for me to write on because I kept getting pulled on “direction and the will of God” but didn’t quite know what exactly He wanted me to say about it. I was sieving my spirit all day and finally had to pray […]

From my journal… 31st August 2014 02:55pm On a bus to Agric Lagos.   “Frances, you are worried as to whether you will have 16k after this first two years to work with for your blog but if I am calling you out to do something bigger with your blog and reach more lives then trust that I will provide what you need to do that. Just trust… just trust… Trust that I know what you need and I will provide. Spirit Led Relationships: Being Led By The Spirit When Praying For Answers Regarding Relationships

Dear single ladies and gentlemen, How have you all been? Hope you are still on track with God? Waiting on Him for your marital story and not rushing off on your own? I almost didn’t want to write any love letter to you today, but this kept ringing in my heart. Maybe, just maybe it’s meant for someone out there… I pray I finally meet you all I write my love letters to every saturday, because I have loads of stories to tell you guys. One of my stories will be about the ways God leads me when I pray concerning whether He wants me to enter into a relationship or not. I have written about a way to know […]

Birthday Behaviour: 23Things About Me(Vlog)

Hi everybody! TGIF yes? 🙂 I’m supposed to use Fridays to update on the backlog of posts from my #12TripChallenge but decided to start with this post first of all… they all go into the personal memoirs category of the blog after all.   I filmed the video and wrote this post before my birthday on September 6th but I got hit by the reflection bug, so I didn’t get around to posting it. Anyways, you can watch the video from when I was all “hyper” about my birthday at the end of this post and I even filmed the video to so I can re-watch it some years from now and LOL.   Forgive the tenses as you read […]

Let’s Talk About Discouragement In The Path Of Purpose + Video Of Me Speaking At A School

Hello everybody! I hope your week’s winding down smoothly? Mine has been awesome (not going to say stressful because yesterday’s #OnlineBibleStudy took care of that mindset). I’m also winding down from NYSC things. And so my work in secondary schools as a corper is coming to an end… but it would continue even after now by God’s grace. I wrote this post some months back but didn’t get around to posting it. But then I thought, instead of writing on this lesson on discouragement and then updating on the school runs that it stemmed from, why don’t I just post the video from that day and share the lesson all in one post? Brilliant yes? Teens are a handful and […]

A Life Poured Out As An Offering To God

2Timothy 4.6-8 “As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God…”   All I really want to do is close my eyes and drift into lala land as I type this. I have had a busy day/week so far. Yesterday, I had to move from school to school carrying a heavy bag with my laptop because I spent sunday night at NCCF family house and didn’t even go to my house before I had to start walking around to tie up the loose ends on my personal community development service. I have said it before that waiting isn’t my best suit but on this walk of #Purpose, it’s a must. So monday and today(which […]
