Once A Lesbian, Now I Am Straight And Never Going Back

I can’t explain it all but I see it clearly now. Everything that God has worked in me has been preparing for this point in my life – ministry. His love to me, given to me even when I had sunk to low depths, abortion, sexual sins, has wrought a work in my heart – one of responding with love whenever anyone tells me anything/seeks counsel from me. In this walk of purpose He has placed me on, it seems to be one where people who are struggling with issues are drawn to me. He has not just given me words for them, He has made me a testimony to the fact that He can wipe them off of all […]

Chronicles Of My June 12Trip Challenge: National Musuem Benin City

Yello everybody!!! What are you planning on doing this weekend? For me, I feel like visiting the stadium here, have a bit of some time with the Word… that will be after working on my upcoming book sha I woke up this morning, had my quiet time with lots of smiles on my face, and then I stumbled onto this post I had written on prayers for the blog. I read it, prayed along with it again, and couldn’t help but thank God that the prayers were answered and are still being answered. Firstly, God placed me in a Church that indeed feeds my spirit. And then this prayer: “Lord, in this year 2015, let your life breathe on this […]

For When You Need To Amp Up Your Faith

*NOTE You can download the free PDF of this study by clicking here   It’s funny how I’m writing a book on how to walk in God’s purpose for your life – “10Steps To Walking In Purpose”, and I have literally felt every emotion that the book encourages people to work above. I have felt the fear of failure, the fear of launching out, the discouragement, the despair, and the lack of faith. The lack of faith has been in the form of “how will God do this?” I smile as I write that now because it’s an unnecessary thought but I have been hit by lots of them of recent. Yesterday during my quiet time, I felt like reading […]

Bolaji Olorisade: I Almost Committed Suicide

Happy New Week everyone! I hope you are as excited as I am about this week? My birthday is about two weeks away. Yay! But this post isn’t about that. The share Your Story series continues on the blog today and we have Bolaji( www.omobolaji.com), my beautiful sister sharing her story with us today. If you are just joining us, the Share Your Story, Own Your Brokenness series is a series that was started with the aim of laying our lives bare – the hurt, the pain, the things we’d rather hide…sharing it all, releasing the past so we can walk in the now and inspire others to let the past go too. It started with my story – of […]

To Children From Broken Homes

This was originally published on The Naked Convos     I speak not as one who condemns you, but rather as one who understands you. Some people may not understand why you think that a man/woman will never stay in a relationship with you. Some people may not understand why you think that divorce is normal, “Once the man misbehaves, you toss him out the window” right? They may not understand why you believe that you can never hold a marriage secure for years… But I understand. There are a lot of things that seeing your parents fight and claw at each others throat can do to you, and one of those things is that it can erase whatever thought […]

From My Diary: Trust Me

Thursday 13th August 2015 I’m tired and feel like I’m in limbo. I pass out in October and still don’t have a sense of direction on what to do/where to go. I used to be so certain of where I will be Lord, but then you broke me down and said your way is best, so I became totally surrendered to your will. So why am I still not hearing anything? ***************************************** Again, I was still praying that thursday “fill me with the knowledge of your will Lord, in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Your will for where I will be after NYSC, where I will work, fill me with the knowledge of your will”. And as I prayed to […]

How Our Marriage With God Guarantees An Awesome Marriage With Our Spouse

My dearest single ladies and gentlemen, I’m smiling as I type this right now just because I feel like smiling… or well, just because it’s amazing to be single and loving God! I first got a rhema on how our relationship with a spouse only mirrors our relationship with God at the beginning of the year. ‎I was praying for my parents marriage when I got “your relationship with your spouse is only a reflection of your relationship with your God”. I had never‎ seen the correlation before then. Yesterday again, as I read the devotion from proverbs31 ministries(www.proverbs31.org, follow them already), the advice was on marriage but again, what I saw the love between God and I.‎ Now, we […]

Toby Nwazor: Dear God, This Is Not Fair!

I was sitting in the back seat of my neighbour’s car that Sunday morning on our way to Lekki (Lagos, Nigeria) for church service. There was a little traffic on the Adeola Odeku road in VI, towards the diversion by the right. I had been in worse traffic situations that would have made that morning’s look like child’s play. My anxiety meter was also very low and it showed on my very calm face. To make up for lost time, I took my time feeding my eyes with awe at the magnificent edifices I saw on the Lagos Island. Honestly, Lagos dey two oh. If u no dey live for island, u are just living in Lag, not Lagos. (There […]
