Chronicles Of My January 12 Trip Challenge

Holla holla people! How’s your weekend going? You didn’t think that I forgot about Frances’s love letters today did you? 🙂 We’ll be making a little bit of a switch today though. Let’s use today for the chronicle of my 12trip single lady challenge for January I’m currently typing this while sitting on top a hill-same hill I climbed for the January 12 trip challenge… Just thought to have some alone time here and Mobolaji did suggest that I could use my weekend to climb hills instead of lazing around at home, so I thought advantage of the suggestion today. Thanks babes 🙂   So this chronicle has been a long time coming… Let’s see if I can publish both […]

The Thin Line Between Fulfilling Your Purpose In God And Doing It For A Buck

Hello lovely people! How’s your week been going so far? It’s been great with me and on the blog yes? 🙂 But you’d agree with me that it’s about time we take a little break from Youths Speak so that I can give you all some updates on my personal project matters right? It’s been amazing to see the dreams of Odunayo and Gloria (see interviews here and here if you haven’t) but I think I should share a lesson I learnt recently with us all today. Remember this post that started the journey for my speaking at girl’s secondary schools? I don’t mean to sound all spiritual, but I did have a dream that confirmed to me that this […]

What Do We Do When Our Faith Is Shaken?

Nathaniel Bassey posted something on twitter a while back about ministers. He said “you are not a minister if you don’t worship God without the microphone. You are to minister unto the Lord first and he changes your life before He changes other lives through you”(paraphrased)   I am inclined to agree that it’s the same for Christian writers/bloggers. You can’t have anything to give out to others if you are not connected with God and most of what you write is actually God’s dealings with you first of all. I can’t count the number of times that I have had to re-read what I’ve posted here. Remember our faith post from last week? I have had to re-read it […]

Get It Done Right Now!

I’ve almost forgotten how hard it is to blast the fat. It’s been so long since I’ve been on the game, I’ve forgotten how hard it is to even see a 1kg weight shift on the scale.   *looks around* I’m sorry people, please pardon my manners, it comes with getting back on Shawn T’s cardio abs after some months away from it…   It’s hard work to do all his wicked exercises but before we go on, let’s start up properly on the blog shall we? 🙂   Happy Bright Monday Morning loves! I don’t think that my new readers actually know that I am on weight loss journey… You guys don’t know that right? Yeah, I am sure […]

Who Gave You That List?

Dear single ladies and men, How was your week? Stressful? Busy? Well, today’s saturday, you can chillax by starting out with Frances’s love letters 🙂   Something happened to me on Valentine’s day when I went for the dinner at church and I didn’t tell you about it in my last letter.   I saw someone and started analyzing the person(nor be say he approach me oh, what a laugh) I thought to myself – “no, he can’t be the one na, he is too skinny, he looks too soft, he doesn’t look like “the one”   I was on a bike on my way home when I started having those real conversations in my mind… you know, the type […]

Ayokunnumi Adeiya: After NYSC; Living-In With Parents

Staying with ones old folks has its ups and down. In as much as its appears great and it gives the appearance of a happy family, at other times, it gives the impression of a youth who can’t wait to get out of his/her parent’s reach.   The reality these days is that youths over stay in the comfort of their parents’ home especially after NYSC, this in turn makes the youth to start to feel a sense of responsibility and independence late in life. We all know parents to be over protective and would definitely want to have a say on how their youthful wards conduct his/her life, what he/she eats, what he/she wears, where he/she goes, who comes […]

Youths Speak: Vincent Gloria

Hello people! You didn’t think that I forgot all about our youth section of the blog did you? If all goes well like I pray it should, the first event at the Secondary school would be held some 2hours from now (prayers needed and fingers crossed 🙂 We have a special lady as our guest for youths speak on the blog today. I met her at NYSC Camp and we were both at MDG training together. She was this dark fine girl like that and I just noted her as a candidate for this interview because…well, she get mouth.lol. Her answers to this interview are straight to the point because she isn’t a lawyer like us that write and write […]

What Kind Of Faith Do You Have?

Hello everyone! Welcome to another time on our #OnlineBibleStudy. I’m revved up already… Why? Because I take delight in God’s word, and in His truth we find our pleasures forever more! We don’t look to the world for pleasures, we look into the word of God! Wowzers! 🙂   This will be a long one but so worth it! So please, just take up your pen, hard copy Bibles/Bibles on your phone, open it up and let’s delve into the Word!   I was supposed to post this last week but I thank God that it’s coming on today because I need the word too.   When I got my Bar finals results(see post here), it affected me like nothing […]

You Don’t Need A Salary To Survive

Happy New Week people! 🙂 I was almost not going to post anything for Monday’s Inspirational Drive today. Lack of motivation/laziness/ maybe I just don’t feel like writing because I had a scheduled post but just didn’t feel like today is the right time to publish it. BUT a particular word has been ringing in me… I had some runs to do with my principal(yeah, I’ve attached to a firm now, I will give you guys the full gist later) State judiciary is currently on strike so that means that cash doesn’t really flow from clients like it usually does. My principal was talking about something with a man at somewhere where we went to and something rang in me. […]

Valentine’s Day Of a Single Nigerian Girl

Dear blog readers, family, friends and loved ones, I’m not sure of where to start from with today’s letter. Ok, first of all, how are you all? How was your day? Happy Valentine oh!   I didn’t forget to write today’s love letter, I have just been BUSY! Yep, I have been BUSY even as a single girl on valentine’s day. But let’s get the serious stuff off the ground before I give y’all the main gist. I woke up this morning, not with thoughts about a boyfriend and all that… I woke with the thought of “Lord, how do I love others?” To be frank with you all, the way the world sees love just makes me sad/pissed/sad sometimes. […]
