What I Live For…

I did promise to write about what the season means to me and belated though it is, I still have to make good on that promise, no? Yes! 😀 Christmas and this season was full with all the “senge-menge” you can imagine and I ate it all here too (to the detriment of my weight loss goals.*sigh*) Yeah, yeah, the food made so much sense, but that wasn’t all there was to it. I didn’t just eat, I also had lots of time to reflect on a lot of things… Whose life have I touched with the privilege of the knowledge that Christ was born? Was I letting the fact that the word was made flesh go to waste in my […]

For The Re-Virgins

Hello dears, I hope your day’s going well? I’ve struggled with posting/not posting this for a while but well oh well, I am just going to post it already. A lady asked me a question recently, she was really confused about this virgin thing(team V) we have going on today. The source of the confusion stemmed from the fact that, she isn’t a virgin-at least not one in the eyes of the world. Before answering her question, I browsed through some of my favorite articles on virginity and abstaining from sex before marriage topic and I found none referring to what she needed to hear. So let’s just use God’s word and as much honesty as we can muster to […]

Business Lessons Learnt From Tobias And Titus Igwe

Hi hi people! How’s you all doing? I hope there are no casualties from the season’s chop chop?(Casualty being loo things, hehe) I have a post lined up that’s supposed to go live tomorrow but I couldn’t help but write about this. I really didn’t want to write but I am still awake, tossing and turning from thinking about it so let me just go ahead and write it already. Every time I ask God for inspiration,He always delivers. And today He delivered in the form of Tobias and Titus Igwe. Tobias and Titus Igwe AKA the Igwe twins are 25year old co-owners of Speed Meals Mobile Kitchen. Normal business owners in Nigeria yeah? But no, Frances Okoro Hi there! I’m […]

December 25th 2013

I was going to let today go by without posting anything because I also have a post going live tomorrow but Christ’s Love in me just refused to let me. I mean, how awesome is it that the word was born, made flesh and dwelled among us? What sort of love is that? The knowledge of how deep it is(which I’ll never get fully)blows me away. So I just had to spread His love to all via this blog. Here’s saying Merry Christmas to- My family especially to Ray Okoro, you are not here with us right now but we loves you Bro.*big hugs* To Oki Toju. To Mojaye Lily my durling. To Onwah Oghenetega. And Your Response Is?

And its December,we are almost at the end of another glorious year no less and I know this with all of my soul. I have being a recipient of awesome testimonies from God this year and one would think that with all the blessings God bestowed on me and all mine this year I’ll be suspended in a state of gratitude right? But no,I’ve been plagued with feelings of terrible self-doubts since last week. I have wondered and wallowed in the thoughts that maybe, just maybe, “I aint all that after all” Maybe those words I heard God say to me that He’s taking me places was just my mind playing tricks on me. It hasn’t helped that Frances Okoro Hi […]

Dear Henry…

Dear Henry, Compliments of the season. I believe you and all yours are doing well? I pondered on how to couch this letter to you for a long time, but I still found no perfect way to say this so I am just going to say this as it is. I apologize in advance if it offends your sensibilities,I only pray that it also appeals to your good sense of reasoning. It seems as though you have forgotten the son of whom you are and the destiny you carry inside you. This letter is to hopefully remind you of both. Frances Okoro Hi there! I’m Frances Okoro. NLS Lagos Lessons

She was a Nigerian, truly, this girl was really a Nigerian from Anambra State but I had to look at the face of the person speaking to know if she was a Nigerian/not. She said; ” أَبْجَدِيَّة عَرَبِيَّ أَبْجَدِيَّة عَرَبِيَّ Darling”… And I replied; “huh, please répéter? ” It wasn’t my fault,I really couldn’t understand her. The words sounded like arabic and of course,I only understand English Language. You still don’t get what the scene above posits? Please Sit down Dearie, let me gist you… Frances Okoro Hi there! Been Away For Too Long

While on a bus back to my hostel on Saturday,I felt a stirring in my spirit, reminding me of the fact that I had not had my quiet time with God in a week or even more than a week. I pondered on it for a while but didn’t make any definite resolutions on how to rectify it. Later on, I got a message from a friend. Frances Okoro Hi there! I’m Frances Okoro. Dear Men…

Dear Men, I hope you are all doing fine and you’ve had a superb day? I had to send this message across to you and I could not think of a better medium to do this than on my blog. Two of your kind told me something today that had me boiling in my shoes, but after careful consideration of the facts,I decided to write this letter with as much tact as I can muster and not rant like I was tempted to do. One of the men said that,a woman doesn’t really need the internet,as she has NOTHING she would use it for. He went ahead to say Frances Okoro Hi there! I’m Frances Okoro. Lawyer, Author, Speaker and Social […]

Lessons Learnt…

So Nelson Rohihlaha Mandela died on 5th December 2013. I didn’t weep,I wasn’t sad. I celebrated and smiled. He had lived long and achieved greatness and His legacy continues. I learnt a lot from thinking about the Madiba that was(and still is). Amongst the lessons I saw, these ones resounded so deeply; Frances Okoro Hi there! I’m Frances Okoro.
